Andew and David complete Coast to Coast for CAFOD

Intrepid CAFOD supporters are always thinking of new challenges to take tackle with their bikes! Andrew Thorley and David Derbyshire from Shrewsbury Diocese, have just completed the trans Pennine Cycle Ride. Setting off on Saturday 26th July from Hornsea they completed the 215 miles on Wednesday 30th July in Southport. On the way they stopped at Blessed John Henry Newman Church in Warrington where they were greeted by a group of supportrers.
Andrew told us “I did a Warrington to York cycle ride a few years ago for CAFOD and enjoyed it, it’s quite a way but once I get going I’m sure I’ll enjoy the journey!’ Prior to the Warrington to York ride Andrew completed a sponsored row for CAFOD in various locations around Warrington. So he is not new to taking up challenges to support CAFOD.
Many thanks are due to Andrew and David’s family, friends and supporters from the parish who have helped in so many ways. I’m sure they enjoyed spending last night at home. Well done to both of you it is a wonderful achievement.
