Ecumenical Songs of Praise in St Theresa’s Blacon Chester


St Theresa’s Chuch Blacon Chester was the venue for an Ecumenical Songs of praise service on Sunday 15th June.Supporters of CAFOD, Christian Aid and Tearfund from many worshipping communities in the Chester area joined together to pray and sing. We were all warmly welcomed by Fr Jim Kenny. Individuals selected their favourite hymns and explained why the hymns meant so much to them. There were prayers from Becky Hurst Christian aid north west and Liz Aiello CAFOD Shrewsbury and the homily was given by the ever inspirational Canon trevor Dennis. Four ministers gave the final blessing which was followed by refreshments in the social centre. A well attended and uplifting occasion.
