While President of the Crewe and District Circle of Catenians, Harish Narotham and fellow Catenians raised funds to support water projects in Zimbabwe. On Wednesday 25th September,CAFOD was invited to attend a presentation dinner. As Noreen Lockhart, had recently visited Zimbabwe and experienced such projects first hand, she kindly agreed to accept the cheque as well as sharing something of CAFOD’s work in Zimbabwe.

During the first part of the evening, Sue Bownas Diocesan Manager and Noreen Lockhart Head of Corporate Affairs spoke to the ladies. They explained about CAFOD and how and why we work in the way we do, as well as answering questions.

We then enjoyed a meal and fellowship followed by a very informative and pertinent presentation by Noreen stressing the impact that such project have on remote communities.

  1. Zimbabwe was my place of birth so It was my great pleasure to nominate CAFOD’s work in Zimbbwe. My fellow Catenian Brothers in the Crewe & District Circle responded so marvellously! Thank you all! – Harish Narotham, President 2012 – 2013.
