Retreat Day At Wimbold’s Trafford

P1010116

Over 100 Primary School Children from the feeder schools to Chester Catholic High School gathered at Wimbold’s Trafford for their annual Retreat Day. This year the theme was “FOOD”. The children were divided into five groups and were challenged by a number of food related activities. These include and orienteering course based on the CAFOD Food Quiz as well as the Banana Split Game making a Grace Plate and the Food Game. They also enjoyed making a Big IF and learning about the “Hungry for Change Campaign”.
The day was a great success, blest with beautiful weather in a wonderful free environment, the children were able to meet their future schoolmates, value what they have and grow in awareness of the needs of their brothers and sisters around the world. All four schools, St Clare, St Theresa, St Werburgh and St Columba and St Winefride are wonderful supporters of CAFOD.
