Worthingtown A World Gift Village

Mrs Susan Worthington worked as School Bursar at St Werburgh’s and St Columba’s Catholic Primary School, Chester for nearly 19 years. Sue wanted to leave a meaningful gift to the School on her retirement and so decided to create “Worthingtown” a virtual village. Her hope is that the pupils will develop the village over the years.
One enterprising pupil and her best friend have already taken up the challenge. Sophia and Clarice organized a cake sale in Clarice’s road and leafleted all the neighbours, who were keen to buy the homemade cakes, meringues and scones. From the proceeds they will buy a World Gift to join the drought resistant crops, chickens, goats and water for a family which have already begun to bring “Worthingtown” alive.
